MESSAGE: |
I just want to say to Michael and Kyle we are all praying for you. We have also been personally touched by cancer. Last September my dad was the 9th person in our family to be called home to the Lord because of cancer. But even though this was one of the hardest times in our lives we also saw all the miracles God was performing around us. My dad was not a church going man, he was always full of life and happiness. Last August my family came down to NY for a visit, all that week my dad was fine. On the day it was time for everyone to leave, my dad said he was tired and took a nap - this was not like him. When we went to wake him up he couldn't walk or speak. We thought he had a stroke, we rushed him to the hospital. That night the doctors told us he had liver, lung and brain cancer, it was too far advanced for any kind of treatment. My family and I decided to take him home under hospice care, because my dad didn't know the Lord I was afraid he would die and not go to heaven. Each night my pastor would come over and pray for my dad's soul, and that he may accept God as his Savior.
For 11 days we watched my dad get weaker and weaker, for 11 days he could not speak. On the night before he died, God showed us his amazing power and grace. We were all praying by my dad's bedside, my dad's face twisted with pain and sorrow suddenly changed. He had a glow to it. , a peace, a happiness. Remember my dad couldn't speak for 11 days, well that night he did! He told us he loved us and he accepted Christ!!!!!!!!!! He died the next morning with a smile on his face. Kyle, I want you to remember this - that with Christ all things are possible. Have faith daughter and you shall be healed! Michael, have courage and know that no matter what, God is at your side, holding your hand and telling you to be strong. |
